American Swedish Institute
A space preserved for future generations.
The American Swedish Institute partnered with Egobee to create visuals for its capital campaign to restore the historic Turnblad Mansion and Carriage House.
For nearly a century, the Turnblad Mansion has been one of the most recognizable historic homes in the country and a cultural center for the community. Over time, however, the building began to show the effects of age and weather.
The campaign aimed to raise 22 million to rehabilitate the Mansion’s interior and exterior and reimagine its spaces for programs, gatherings, and exhibitions.
Egobee was brought in to help translate this vision into a compelling visual narrative.
We approached the work by focusing on storytelling and heritage.
The visuals were designed to highlight the Mansion’s architectural beauty and cultural significance while communicating the future vision for the space. Every element was created to help audiences understand why preserving the Mansion matters.
Mansion Musings is a video series created to support the American Swedish Institute’s 22 million capital campaign to restore the historic Turnblad Mansion and Carriage House. The episodes highlight how time and weather have affected the historic building while sharing stories from historians, architects, and preservation experts to show why restoring the Mansion is essential for future generations.
Egobee produced a video for the American Swedish Institute and University of Minnesota Press to highlight the Swedish pronunciations featured in the book A to Zåäö. The video also captured and recapped the book’s launch event at the Turnblad Mansion, combining storytelling, visuals, and language to celebrate Swedish culture and the collaboration between the two organizations.
